We enjoyed a groundbreaking Sunday in our new home. Thirty-three Villanova alumni and family member came over for some volunteering in the warehouse, and the same number of teachers arrived for our first Sunday Teacher-Take. A big thanks to our long-time star volunteer Susan Ratajski for pouring your soul into a Teacher-Take, spreading book-joy to our extraordinary teacher-friends. What a wonderful way to begin this new chapter at BookSmiles! Teacher Take Terri Spell, a Bordentown teacher, has been visiting Teacher-Take since 2019. Thanks, Terri! Villanova Alumni - One of our biggest sorting groups ever!

We are so grateful that Wade has chosen us as his Eagle Scout project. He genuinely loves learning, listening to stories, and contributing to his community and beyond. Wade has grown up surrounded by books and wants to share book-joy with other young people. In just a few weeks, Wade spearheaded a massive collection that yeilded over 10,000 books. We are grateful for the The Buxton Complex which donated pod-space to store the donations that poured in. We envison a permanent collection station in the Princeton area where people will be able to donate kids and adult books 24/7! |
