If I really start to look for it, inspiration for my project can crop up in unexpected places. Last night, in the parking lot of the Brio in Marlton, I saw a sculpture of a boy reading a book and I had to sit next to him for a photo op.
I have to continue to work hard to ensure that real kids read real books. I need to think of more ways to build the brand and get some help. How can I collect more books? Where will I store them? How can those little kids in Lindenwold, who otherwise would have no books in the house, get them? How can I convince young readers that actual books have merit, and to put down their electronic devices to read? And what's the bird doing on the statue's book? I didn't even notice it until I looked at the picture!
